I agree that this should probably be lower priority than SLI/Crossfire and performance fixes, but it's still an important issue because this ruins the look of the game.
There is something wrong and it needs to be fixed. Corrected an issue that was causing Steam to re-download the game when. We are actively looking into fixing other bugs to improve this further. Fixed a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion.
#Arkham knight update rain Patch#
This is what the rain looks like on the consoles as of today (verified with a friend who has a PS4): The first PC update patch for Batman: Arkham Knight includes: -Fixed a crash that was happening for some users when exiting the game. Here's a screenshot I took showing what the rain looks like now:
This is both good and bad.good in that it doesn't "bug out" at times, but bad in that it still doesn't look right. The Title Update Title update for Batman: Arkham Knight has 7 achievements worth 140. No matter where you are in the game, whether you start a new game and never exit, or load multiple saves, the rain looks the same all the time now. This thread is for the CURRENT build of the game from Oct 28. The other threads on this issue are old now, and are referencing rain in new game vs rain in loaded save, which no longer occurs (rain is just on "low" like a loaded save all the time now). But since there hasn't been any confirmation of this anywhere else, I want to make sure this stays on the radar. The fix is slated to arrive for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game next year and later this year for the PC version. As said by Gear Nuke, the rain downpour will become more prevalent. We have been told in the Steam forums that there are still bugs with the rain textures scheduled to be fixed. A first of what will no doubt be quite a few patches for the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight has been released today, apparently adding the missing Ambient Occlusion and rain effects. Rocksteady Studios will also be rolling out a patch that seeks to enhance the rain effects of the Arkham Knight game. Valve has released an update to combat issues experienced by some users. But with this latest announcement, Rocksteady has confirmed that their upcoming project will be a game based around the infamous Suicide Squad. I want to make sure this stays on the radar.so I decided to start another rain texture thread, this time with pictures of what it looks like currently, vs what it should look like. Latest Batman: Arkham Knight PC patch fixes missing rain effects, adjusts frame times, more. Since the release of Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, the studio has been oddly silent about new DC-based games, though many have speculated a Superman game or even another Arkham sequel.
